Vintage enamelware exudes such character and charm. The new ones are nothing like them, and there are only a handful of shops that sells enamelware nowadays.
I read about a shop in Tiong Bahru that stocks them and recently made a trip to check it out. I was quite disappointed with the quality (I should have known that old things were definitely better made and of better quality), the feel is inferior and thin enamel coating that bearly coats the metal, plus the finishing is substandard. I only bought a large mug with cover and it took me a while to pick the best of the three that they had - my gosh, full of flaws.
